Challenge

RSPCA worked with M-Corp on the brief to:
Change the attitude of a generation.
Aiming to educate tomorrow’s world today and ensure our children grow up with a sense of responsibility and compassion for animals.

Solution

Teachers are time pressured so promoting the site to enough of the right people was going to be problematic. So we designed a DM piece, a promotional video to educate teachers about the RSPCA resources available to them and to communicate how useful other teachers and children had found them

Direct Mailing to over 30,000 teachers, the CD ROM solution educated the recipients with regard to the core values of the RSPCA program, the benefits to the pupils and equally as important [for the initiative to work], the ease at which National Curriculum approved lesson content could be obtained - ensuring teachers could provide high quality lesson content in a timely manner.

In conjunction with the DM piece, we also executed a press campaign to raise awareness of the new website and an exhibition stand to deliver face to face communication to spread the word to key members of the target audience, along with rich media polling technology - an interactive video questionnaire, to educate stand attendees, gain insight in to the audience and generate website registrations directly from the kiosk.

The result

Twelve months from launch, the RSPCA’s targets have been exceeded and currently 200 target unique teachers use the site every day, reaching 6,000 children through lesson plan delivery.

M-Corp is now working with the RSPCA to advance the programme, developing a marketing and communications program for the next five years, along with an interactive resource development program to ensure the RSPCA builds on its reputation as a quality lesson resource provider.
